The DailyCourier: Historic Family Ranch to Become Stringfield at Granite Mountain
Stringfield at Granite Mountain, the newest development of custom homes in the Prescott area is officially under construction as the first of five phases roll out for the custom master plan community. Stringfield Development Company, led by long-time real estate developers Jeff Davis and Jeff Raymond, bought the Stringfield family’s 700-acre historic ranch to develop it into a picturesque community with large lots and sweeping views of the Prescott National Forest, according to a news release.
“As a Prescott resident myself, I’ve known the Stringfield family — who have been ranching in this area of Yavapai County since the 1870s — for quite some time,” said Davis, a managing partner of Stringfield Development Company. “After going over our ideas with Irene [Stringfield], we knew we could create something really special that would leave a lasting legacy for their family.”
Five years in the making, after securing city water and three miles of sewer to the site, Stringfield at Granite Mountain has now broken ground on its first phase of construction that will include 65 lots, each ranging from one to three acres in size with prices starting from $250,000.
The gated community, which sits at 5,400 feet above sea level, boasts open spaces,fenced lots, hiking and biking trails, endless views of the neighboring mountain scapesand connections to the City of Prescott’s 56-mile “Circle Trail” (the last mile of which islocated in the Stringfi eld development).
“This community is going to be ideal for not only current residents of northern Arizonawho may want to relocate to Prescott, but also for families looking for a second homewith cooler temperatures, snow days and green pastures as opposed to desertterrain,” said Raymond, partner with Stringfi eld at Granite Mountain. “The larger lotsizes also off er enough space for highly customizable compounds, which couldinclude envelopes for toy shop garages and other unique features.”
Located just 10 minutes from downtown Prescott, with golf and equestrian facilitiesnearby, Stringfi eld at Granite Mountain provides the expansiveness of the open rangethat drew the Stringfi eld family to the area initially, while also being close enough tolocal shops, restaurants and entertainment.
